Albums, Albums, Albums… Here Come Asalah & Angham!
الأحد, نوفمبر 25, 2007 // 0 التعليقات // Arabic Digest // Category: Ahmed El Sherif , Angham , Asalah , Qamar //June has come upon us, summer has officially settled in, and the music albums are just rolling in! Along with veteran crooners Fella Ababsa, Rabea El Asmar and Najwa Karam’s latest releases have come an endless influx of albums. Budding artists Janine D., Saad Hamad, Camilia, Ramy Moussa, and Maram have released their albums. Even dancer Najlaa has released an album. More importantly, however, are two albums that are due at our music stores within the next two weeks.
Today, Egyptian singer Angham’s “Koli Ma Ne’arrab Le Baad” is due in stores. An album made up of ten Egyptian-dialect tracks produced and distributed by Rotana. The video clip for the title song has already begun airing on Rotana TV channels with positive feedback. It finally cleared Angham’s name after a month of rumors and protests that accused her of shooting the clip in a mosque. She proved the rumormonger wrong, however, with a beautiful and romantic video clip directed by Ahmed El Mahdi. The album’s tracks are as follows:
1. Atmannalo El Kheir
Amir Teaima/Khalled Eaz
2. El Amal
Moustafa Morsi/Khalled Eaz
3. Ashki Le Min
Ibn El Nil/ Baligh Hamdi
4. El Horouf
Mohamed Rifai/Sherif Taj
5. Baghir
Nader Abdullah/Tamer Ali
6. Dah Elli Aandi
Amir Teaima/Rami Gamal
7. Ghayartenni
Hind Al Kadi/Khalled Eaz
8. Koli Ma Ne’arrab Le Baad
Baha’ El Din Mohamed/Khalled Eaz
9. Ma Bataalemsh
Amir Teaima/Khalled Eaz
10. Ma Bahebesh
Ayman Bahgat Qamar/Khalled Eaz
On the 20th of this month, we can expect an all-new Gulf-dialect album from Syrian singer Asalah. The long-awaited album is a return to the Gulf dialect for Asalah, who has left her considerable fan base in the cold for quite some time now. The album will contain nine tracks, and will be titled “Sawaha Galbi”. As noted below, Asalah has, unlike her previous fully Gulf experiment “Awgat”, worked with some new and lesser-known talent. We look forward to her latest work as usual!
1. La Tekhaf
Al-Alya/Sahm.
2. Dirat El Ghorbah
Fazzaa/Fayez Al Saeed.
3. Sawaha Galbi
Khalid Al Moraikhi/Sahm.
4. Agrab Gerib
Saoud Al Hajeri/ Fayez Al Said.
5. Umniah
Malameh/Salah Ahmad.
6. Shomoukh Eazi
Moatazah/Layl.
7. Talabtek
Al-Alya/Sahm.
8. Kalmat Sheker
Bent El Ma’ani/Ahmad Al Harmi
9. Tabi Tatrekni
Al Alya/Sahm
